NEWRY — Northern Oxford County Area Counselors’ annual post secondary fair will be held from from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. Thursday, April 10, in the Grand Ballroom at the Grand Summit Hotel of Sunday River to introduce graduating students to opportunities for further education and careers. Present will be representatives from 100 colleges, military recruiters and FAME.

Historical society

WATERFORD — The Waterford Historical Society will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 10, at the Wilkins House. The program will be on “Historical Buildings in Waterford,” and speakers will be Cynthia Hamlin and David Sanderson.

In a photographic presentation they will follow a “time line” of several buildings in town. People are encouraged to bring their own stories and photos to share. A potluck dessert will follow.

Gym night set

OXFORD — His Place Teen Center is planning to hold a gym night from 8 to 10 p.m. Friday, April 11, at Madison Avenue School across from the former Ames Department Store. Anyone who would like to attend, come to the Teen Center first on the Pottle Road. For more information call Bert at 743-9503.

NORWAY — The Rev. Joy D. Gasta will speak on the “Message That Jesus Preached That Day” at the 11 a.m. service on Sunday, April 13, at the First Universalist Church of Norway (Unitarian Universalist). Child care is provided and coffee hour follows the service. Religious education groups meet at 9:30 a.m.

Comedy fun

BUCKFIELD — Michael Miclon and Amanda Huotari will appear in comedy fun at 7 p.m. Saturday, April 12, at the Oddfellow Theater, Route 117 in Buckfield Village. Easter breakfast

WATERFORD — A public breakfast will be served from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 12, at the Waterford Memorial School. The menu will include pancakes, eggs, bacon and muffins. Adults $5, children under 12, $2.50. Those attending can have their picture taken with the Easter bunny. Proceeds benefit the Waterford Parent Teacher Organization.
