GREENE — Dale Johnson will narrate a wildlife/adventure film, “The Story of the Grand Canyon,” at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 10, and 2 and 7 p.m. Friday, April 11, at the Sawyer Memorial, 371 Sawyer Road.

Johnson began working in the commercial film business in Dallas and worked on TV specials before filming an outdoor series, “The Lone Star Sportsman.” He later joined the film unit attached to the Johnson Space Center in Houston, spending five years at NASA.

He moved to Alaska and formed Trailwood Films, doing TV commercials, sponsored films and documentaries. Johnson and his wife, Sandy Mortimer, live in Shelbyville, Ky.

Johnson will take the audience through a history of the Grand Canyon before moving to the present day and displaying the grandeur of the canyon area.
