This letter is in response to your editorial on April 2, “Picking taxpayer pockets.”
When I read your editorial I was very upset and angered at the things the newspaper printed about me. The editorial had inaccuracies and didn’t present all the facts.
I was going to defend myself through this letter but I decided not to do so. It’s not up to me to do your job and present the facts.
It seems that the newspaper pleasures itself by taking cheap shots at elected officials, businessmen and our fine community: the city of Lewiston.
It prints stories without making any effort in reporting news that is worthy, factual, objective and with substantiated facts.
It’s unfortunate that when Mr. Costello expanded his newspaper corporation he didn’t have any money left in his budget to hire a couple of real journalists.
