BRUNSWICK – Registration forms have been mailed to nearly 200 agencies, organizations and businesses serving the older population in mid coast Maine seeking their participation in the Mid Coast Elders’ Education and Health EXPO on Tuesday, May 13, at Cook’s Corner Mall.

The EXPO, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., is in celebration of Older Americans Month, as well as providing a forum for information and education about services available. Older adults, their children and caregivers and the public are invited.

Maine’s Attorney General Stephen Rowe will discuss elder safety issues at the Bookland community room at 9:30 a.m., followed by Michael Webber of the Attorney General’s Office speaking on identity theft at 10:30. Rebecca Henry of Legal Services for the Elderly in Portland and Augusta will speak on “Talk to an Attorney” at 11:30.

The registration fee for non-profits is $25 a table; for-profits, $50 a table; and therapeutic services, $40 a table. Deadline is April 22, with a late charge fee of $15 until May 2.

Agencies are encouraged to provide May-basket door prizes at their tables, and other door prizes will be awarded throughout the EXPO hours. Entertainment will be announced.
