JAY – Police are investigating the theft of about $400 in missing coins from an East Jay Road home.

There was no sign of forced entry to the house, Chief Larry White Sr. said.

A resident reported the missing coin collection on April 4.

It isn’t known when the collection, which included foreign coins, was taken, he said.

Detective Russell Adams in investigating the case, he said.

Police are also looking into a burglary reported at a Borough Road garage April 6. Entrance to the garage was gained by breaking a window but it appeared nothing was taken, White said.

Officer Mike Pike is investigating, he said.
