PARIS – The Rotary Club of Oxford Hills has teamed up with the Education Exchange to sponsor a Student of the Month Program at Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School.
Each month, the high school staff members nominate students who they feel have “made a difference in their classroom.”
The goal of the program is to reward teamwork, positive behavior, extra effort and good student citizenship.
The April students were praised for their dedication, collaborative spirit and the positive learning environment they help create in their classroom. Honored students for this month were Brandon Pike, freshman; Kieron Gillespie, sophomore; Kacie Chamberlain, junior; and Jessica Linscott, senior. The students’ names and picture have been placed on a plaque that hangs in the hallway next to the school library.
In addition, each month the four students enjoy pizza with the principal and at the end of the year all of the students will be honored at a Rotary breakfast.
