Editor’s note: Every day there are rays of light that shine into the lives of people through their neighbors, their co-workers, their families and even through complete strangers. This column is devoted to exposing these sunbeams to the light and offering readers an opportunity to share good news. We plan to occasionally offer up our own sunbeams, too.
A life saved
On March 10, on his way home from work my husband, Mark, drove his car into the Lisbon Fall chiropractor’s parking lot and turned off the engine. Mark was having a seizure.
Some caring person was aware enough to call 911. The professionals in the emergency room at Central Maine Medical Center have no information who that person is.
Words cannot express my gratitude to this unknown person for this act of kindness.
I offer a thank you for dialing 911 so my husband could get the medical care he needed.

Generosity
Poland Spring Academy would like to thank all the area businesses for their generous donations of gift certificates and items for our recent auction. The auction made over $4,000. This was greatly needed and appreciated.
We would also like to thank all the staff, parents and students who participated in this event.
Roberta Howard, Poland
Thank you
A good Samaritan recently left a note under my windshield wiper saying I had a very bad rear tire. When I had it checked out at a tire dealer, I had to have it replaced.
I am so thankful for that person’s thoughtfulness, whoever he or she may be!
Janet Krapovicky, Auburn
