OXFORD – The Oxford Advent Christian Church announces Holy Week services leading up to Easter Sunday.
A Maundy Thursday communion service will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 17, at the church on Route 26.
On Good Friday, April 18, members and friends will participate in the Walk of the Cross beginning at 1 p.m. at the Norway Unitarian-Universalist Church. The walk will include stops at Second Congregational Church, Christ Episcopal Church, St. Catherine of Sienna Church, all along Route 117 in Norway, and Deering Memorial Methodist, First Congregational and Trinity Evangelical Lutheran churches on Route 117 in Paris.
A drama, “Were You There?” will be presented as part of the event.
On Easter Sunday morning, April 20, the church will hold a sunrise service at 6 a.m. at 40 Allen Hill Road in Oxford followed by breakfast at the church. A celebration of Jesus’ resurrection will be held at 10:45 a.m. All are invited to attend these services.
