TURNER – SAD 52 River Valley Adult and Community Education will offer a handgun safety personal protection program beginning Tuesday, April 29. The program will run for three weeks from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays at Leavitt Area High School. Brian Moulton will instruct.
The NRA Personal Protection Program is the National Rifle Association’s response to thousands of Americans who own handguns for personal protection and want to learn to use their firearms with safety and skill.
The class provides the basic knowledge to operate and use a handgun safely and to teach the fundamentals needed to shoot it skillfully. The program has been developed and tested by experts in law, law enforcement, firearms technology and shooting instruction. Participants must be 18 to attend.
