1922 – 2003

LEWISTON – Shirley Margaret Melville, 80, of Brunswick, passed away on Monday, April 14, at Montello Manor.

Born in Belfast, July 28, 1922, the daughter of Donald and Florence (Holmes) Hogan. She lived in Belfast, Bangor and Bath but lived most of her life in the Lisbon area and Brunswick.

She worked in the office at Sears, Roebuck, & Co. and also for the Brunswick Naval Air Base and the Neighbors Elderly Care in Brunswick. Shirley also sold Avon products for over 50 years.

She enjoyed her dogs, Tasha and Casey, camping and being with friends and family.

Survivors include her three children, Dawn Roberts and her husband, Roger of Morrill, Sue Janosco and her husband, Mike of Sabattus and Randy Melville and his wife, Vicki of Greene; two sisters, Frances Robinson of Bath and Audrey Bailey of Damariscotta; eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and friends; and her special friends, Jane, Elle, Jessica, Paul, Bunny, Carol and Dana.

She was predeceased by her parents.
