1913 – 2003

LEWISTON – Francoise Blais, 90, of 101 Walnut St., died Tuesday, April 15, at Ste. Marguerite d’Youville Pavilion.

She was born at Ste. Justine, P.Q. Canada, Jan. 22, 1913, the daughter of Ovide and Clara Ferland Ruel. She was married to Armand J. Blais on Nov. 11, 1933 and he predeceased her in July 1973.

Prior to her retirement she was employed at Quinco Fabrics. She was a member of Ss. Peter & Paul Parish and enjoyed being surrounded by her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by a daughter, Sylvia Dubois of Sabattus; two sons, Roland Blais and his wife Rolande of Lewiston and Normand A. Blais and his wife Marguerite of Lisbon; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Elizabeth Turgeon and her husband Roland of Lewiston, Mariette Turgeon of Auburn and Rita Napert and her husband Arthur of Florida.

She was predeceased by a son, Donald Blais; three brothers; and four sisters.
