WEST PARIS – The West Paris Mission Congregational Church will host the East Sumner Congregational Church, North Paris Federated Church and the West Paris Baptist Church for a special Maundy Thursday service at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 17.

Oxford church

OXFORD – The Oxford Advent Christian Church will hold a Maundy Thursday communion service at 7 p.m., Thursday, April 17, at the church on Route 26. On Good Friday, April 18, members and friends will participate in the Walk of the Cross beginning at 1 p.m. at the Norway Unitarian-Universalist Church.

There will be a sunrise service at 6 a.m. Easter Sunday, April 20, at 40 Allen Hill Road followed by breakfast at the church. A celebration of Jesus’ resurrection will be held at 10:45 a.m.

Norway service

NORWAY – There will be a Maundy Thursday service at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, April 17, at the Second Congregational Church.

Supper will be at 5:30. There will be a 6 a.m. sunrise service on Sunday, April 20, with breakfast to follow and the traditional service at 10 a.m.

Easter worship

WEST PARIS – The West Paris Baptist Church Easter service will be at 11 a.m. on Sunday, April 20. The Easter sunrise service will be at the North Paris Federated Church at 7 a.m. Sunday, April 20, followed by breakfast at the West Paris Baptist Church at 8.

The North Paris Federated Church Easter service will be at 8 a.m., and the West Paris Baptist Church will have services at 9:15 with Sunday School at 10:15. There will be no evening service.

Sunrise service

EAST SUMNER – There will be an Easter sunrise service at 6 a.m. Sunday, April 20, at the East Sumner Congregational Church followed by breakfast at 7 and the worship service at 9.

Easter message

PARIS – “The Burden of the Gift” is the title of the Rev. Don Mayberry’s Easter message on Sunday, April 20, at the First Congregational Church, 17 East Main St. in South Paris. Services are at 10 a.m. and families are invited to bring their children since there is no Sunday school. Child care will be provided for younger children. WILSONS MILLS – The Azicohos Lake Preservation Committee will hold its second annual meeting at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 26, at the Grange Hall.

Booster seats

HARRISON – The Child Health Center recently held a car-seat inspection and free booster seat distribution at the Harrison Fire Department for area families. Child passenger safety technician Carolyn Huntress and the Child Health Center’s ProtectME program coordinator Suzanne Cook conducted the inspections.
