Camilla Jordan’s letter of April 10 bringing up the 2000 election was so ridiculous that I’m surprised the Sun Journal even printed it.
If presidents were elected by popular vote alone, states like Maine would have absolutely no voice because populous states like New York, California, etc., would control every election.
The “ineffective voting practices in Florida” had nothing to do with Jeb Bush. The U.S. Supreme Court upheld the opinion of the chief justice of the Florida Supreme Court, a Democrat.
And, last, and by far not least, comparing President Bush to Hitler is like comparing the neighbor you don’t like to Al Capone or Jack the Ripper.
