1941 – 2003

LEWISTON – Laurier L. Morin, 61, of 70 Blake Street Towers died Tuesday, April 15, at his home after a lingering illness.

He was born in Lewiston on Nov. 18, 1941, the son of Donat and Semida (Plourde) Morin. He was employed as a baker at Sam’s Italian Bakery until his retirement in 2001 due to his illness. He was a member of St. Joseph’s Church.

He enjoyed hunting and fishing and watching NASCAR racing. He served with the United States Army for over 22 years having served in the Gulf War with the 619th Transportation Company of the Army Reserves and retiring in 1991.

He is survived by his wife the former Mary Ann Morgan whom he married on June 23, 1962; one son, Michael Morin and his wife Lisa of Turner; two daughters, Rachel Dyer and her husband Lance of Lewiston and Christine Morin-Hill and her husband Kirk of Raymond; one brother, Donald Morin and his wife Cheryl of Auburn; two sisters, Patricia St. Pierre and her husband Normand of Old Orchard Beach and Monique Laliberte and her husband David of Nashua N.H.; two grandchildren, Alaina Hope Dyer and Garrett Ethan Morin; several nieces and nephews; many aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was predeceased by his parents; and one brother, Richard Morin.
