NORTHPORT – NALS of Maine, formerly The Maine Association of Legal Support Staff, will hold its 24th annual meeting and educational conference April 25-27 at Point Lookout on Route 1.
It will include speakers on “Debtor/Creditor Survival,” “Taming the Office Jungle” and homeland security.
James B. Haines Jr., chief judge of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court, District of Maine, and John Michaud, vice president, MBNA, will discuss the procedures of bankruptcy and how they affect debtors and creditors in today’s economic conditions.
Mike Cameron of Avery Dennison, Warren Roberts of Warren Office Products and Patrick McGourty of Alexander & O’Keefe Inc. will provide tips on how to organize a workplace, process electronic information, better manage projects, achieve greater productivity, reduce stress and use software and formatting solutions.
Lt. Col. John Jansen, a plans, operations and military support officer with the Maine Army National Guard will discuss what homeland security means for Maine, particularly the recommendations for businesses and individuals in Maine, and the resources available to assist them.
