I am becoming weary and somewhat resentful of people who suggest that advocates of peace would spit on returning soldiers. Don’t they understand that we who have opposed the war and urged peace want to protect the troops as well as the people of Iraq?
If Bush had taken a peaceful route, no one’s child would have had to die.
Incidentally, I have a son in the military who, thankfully, hasn’t been sent to Iraq. He has been very supportive of my actions although we disagree on the issue.
When did peace become a dirty word?
