Crews in Lewiston are expected to begin tearing up roads Tuesday around College Street.

Construction should center around on Sabattus and College street, up to Holland Street.

Meanwhile, crews in Auburn will continue their work on Spring Street from Court Street south, where they are building a new storm sewer system.

Both are part of federally required projects to create separate sewer systems for storm water. Those systems keep sudden rainstorms and downpours from overloading the city’s sanitary sewer treatment system.
