GREENE – Erica Brown and the Bluegrass Connection will perform at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 24, and 2 and 7 p.m. Friday, April 25, at the Araxine Wilkins Sawyer Memorial, 371 Sawyer Road. Admission is free and doors open an hour before show.
Brown, a 19-year-old Lewiston resident whose violin playing has been turning heads for years, will bring her band, the Bluegrass Connection.
Brown’s talent for combining the precision of classical music with the spontaneity of bluegrass fiddle makes for a fun-filled performance. The band includes her younger brother Daniel on mandolin. He discovered the mandolin at age 10 while spending many weekends at bluegrass festivals with his sister and family.
Lincoln Meyers plays guitar and is one of the most talented flat-pickers in the New England Bluegrass scene today.
The newest member is bass player Ken Taylor. He helps keep the band tight with the most solid bass playing in the New England area.
