Sen. Snowe is a bona fide hero. She is like other great Americans written about in JFK’s, “Profiles In Courage.”
She defended the economic interests of Maine and the nation at great political risk to herself. A larger tax cut than $350 billion would have been foolhardy. Thank God she comes from a state that is known for women with guts as well as common sense.
Margaret Chase Smith must be smiling down from heaven.
