PORTLAND — MAPS International plans to invite about 25 Russian orphans for its annual host-to-adopt Russia Summer Program. The children will arrive in the U.S. about July 11 and return to Russia about Aug. 15.

MAPS International is based at 277 Congress St., Portland, ME 04101.

For families thinking about adoption, this is an opportunity to make sure an older child will fit into a family, a spokeswoman for the group said. There are individual children available, as well as sibling groups, ranging in age from 5 to 14.

The deadline for completed applications to be received by MAPS International is April 30.
