ROCKLAND (AP) – A feud reminiscent of the Hatfields and McCoys escalated to the point that police arrested all six members of the Fogg family, including their 12-year-old son.
Albert Fogg, 39, Irma Fogg, 36, Albert Fogg Jr., 18, and three juvenile sons were charged with harassing their neighbors, police said.
The arrests followed a stakeout of the family’s home on Wednesday, authorities said.
Police witnessed rowdy conduct including obscene gestures and offensive displays of certain anatomical parts.
Irma Fogg, out of jail on $500 bail, said Friday that the Foggs moved into their State Street home eight months ago, but the dispute with their next-door neighbors has only been going on for about a month and a half.
Since then, there have been threats and abuse hurled between the two families, she said.
The Foggs and their 18-year-old son have all been arrested multiple times in the last few years, according to records at the Rockland District Court.
Thanks to the ongoing feud, their 12-year-old, 14-year-old and 17-year old sons ended up in the lockup as well. Those cases are being handled by a juvenile intake officer.
Irma Fogg said that four of the six family members remained in custody on Friday.
