I resent your editorial “Our View” in your April 21 edition.

It makes me shake with rage over your bold-faced distortion of Rep. Thomas Shields letter to Mr. Mike Simpson. I dare you to print, without comment, Mr. Simpson’s unedited letter to Dr. Shields and Dr. Shields’ unedited letter of response to Mr. Simpson’s letter.

Let the readers draw their own conclusions.

A free press should not use its power of editing to distort the facts by quoting material out of context or otherwise.
