Mt. Blue Middle School is undergoing construction. It has been since the middle of my seventh-grade year. I am now in the eighth grade.
We were scheduled to go back to school on Aug. 27 but the construction company was not done and we got the first three days of school off. Considering it was not our fault that the construction company was not done and the fact that we were the only school in our district getting those three days off, we felt that we didn’t have to make them up at the end of the year.
The construction that has been going on has been a total inconvenience for my fellow classmates and myself.
Now we find out that the school board is making us make up those last three days of school!
I feel that it is entirely unfair. We won’t be in the finished product ever again, so going through all this was just so other people can enjoy the new school.
The thing that makes us the most mad is there is no point in going those last three days. We don’t feel we will learn anything and that’s what we are mostly interested in.
