I think it is unfair that we have to go to school the three extra days that we missed in the beginning of the year when we were ready for school just because the construction workers did not meet the schedule.

How would you feel if you had to go to school and really do nothing for six hours?

There are problems in this school. Some kids don’t have lockers so items get lost, broken or stolen. The bathrooms smell. There are limited PE facilities. Problems with the heat are frequent (like it will be cold in a classroom and warm in the hall). There is not enough insulation so the walls shake when kids are running upstairs, and you can hear every word that a teacher or kid says.

The extra days mean that vacations cannot be planned or need to be reconfigured because kids have school on Monday, messing up parents’ plans.

Some parents don’t care if their kids go to school the last three days so they will let them stay home and have the school mail the report cards.

I hope that you are going to reconsider the last three days of the school year.
