I am a former volunteer driver for Community Concepts and would like to thank letter writer Glenn Gordon for defending the MaineCare Transportation program.
Those living in rural areas are already dependent upon friends and family to meet their transportation needs to get their basic necessities. Helpful neighbors are not always available during doctors hours. Cutting this program would mean that people would not schedule needed medical appointments.
Our community cannot afford to let this happen. The program is a vital link to the community.
