LEWISTON – Chiropractic offices worldwide will participate in the seventh annual “Kids’ Day America/International,” a health, safety and environmental awareness day, on Saturday, May 17. Drs. Jason Davis and Philip McLean will sponsor the event locally from noon to 3 p.m. in their office at 1485 Lisbon St.
They will provide essential information on crime prevention, child safety and environmental awareness. The office will donate special child ID cards to every child who attends and the Lewiston Police Department will be on hand to provide free fingerprinting.
In addition, there will be a special appearance by “McGruff the Crime Dog,” as well as other special guests. The fire department will have a truck on hand and teach fire safety tips to the children.
Davis and Mclean will provide free spinal exams and scoliosis screenings and distribute information on disease prevention and specific health issues that affect children.
“We will also provide free balloons and snacks. There will be special giveaways and prize drawings every half-hour. We will also gladly accept your generous donations for St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, which will help to enable them to continue their efforts for children’s cancer treatment,” said Davis.
