AUBURN – Central Maine Technical College and the Androscoggin County Chamber of Commerce will offer a seminar on telecommuting from 2 to 4 p.m. Monday, May 19, at CMTC. The cost is $25.

Telecommuting is a formal arrangement between an employer and employee that allows the employee to perform work at home or other remote sites for part or all of the work week.

The seminar will cover all the key issues in implementing a telecommuting program. Topics covered include the benefits of telecommuting, who should telecommute, setting up contracts, purchasing equipment, selecting potential telecommuters and managing remote employees.
