WILTON – Two more artists have been named to paint a loon sculpture for Loon Maine-ia 2003.
Selina Shields of Farmington has been sponsored by Bill and Jeanne Lambert, and Tyngtown Women’s Club President Marcia Parker has announced the club is sponsoring Nancy Stowell of Weld.
Stowell’s work includes brightly colored stylized wooden ornaments.
The club has supported community activities and volunteering. They had made donations to Goodspeed Memorial Library and were instrumental in the construction of a gazebo at Bass Park.
Shields is a watercolorist. She paints floral, still lifes, animal portraits, architectural items and reflective surfaces.
Shields is a member of Upcountry Artists, past editor of the group’s newsletter and participates in Art in the Park, Portland Sidewalk Art and Sugarloaf Art Show. Her work can be seen at the Braided Streams Studio and Gallery on Front Street, Farmington.
