AUBURN – The First Auburn Seniors will meet on Wednesday, May 7, at the Martindale Country Club to observe their anniversary and to honor past presidents. Doors will open at 11 a.m. Following a buffet the musical due of Side by Side will entertain.
The duo, Lorrie Ferrari and Tony Scucci, feature a mix of harmonies and creative arrangements blended with pop/jazz standards, country, folk and blues. They have performed throughout northern New England for more than 14 years.
On April 16 club members held a lasagna dinner, and bingo was played after the meal. Attendance prize winners were Lucille Rybeck and Buzz Edwards. Pot of gold winners were Caroline Chapman, Bea Everett and Gerry Brushwein.
Joyce Poole announced trips as follows: Summer Shines, overnight tour to Waterville Valley, N.H., on July 14 and 15; Fairpoint, Aug. 4; Wentworth by the Sea, Sept. 2; and the Maine Line mystery trip in October. The trip to Swansea, Mass., to hear the Singing Irish Priests has been canceled due to illness.
