PORTLAND – The Maine State Organization, Daughters of the American Revolution, held its annual conference April 25 and 26. Regent Pauline T. Bartow of Otisfield presided. Donna Farnham of Oakland was named Member of the Year. She is state chairwoman of the DAR Service for Veteran Patients Committee. State winners in the good citizen program, and American history and Christopher Columbus essay contests were honored.

WESTBROOK – The first year of a volunteer program by Maine’s credit unions, Credit Unions Share for ME, yielded more than 15,000 volunteer hours for communities and activities statewide, according to the organization. York County FCU of Sanford volunteered the most hours, followed by Oxford FCU of Mexico, Saco Valley CU of Saco, Five County CU of Bath and Rainbow FCU of Lewiston.
