BRUNSWICK – Kristy Bunce hit an RBI double in the third inning as Oxford Hills took an easy 17-3 win over Brunswick 17-3 in five innings Tuesday.

The Vikings (6-3) scored eight of their 17 runs in the third inning, which broke the contest open. Bunce hit a double in the fifth inning as well. Danielle Robinson and Lauren Austin were repeat hitters for Oxford Hills.

Dirigo 14, Livermore Falls 2

DIXFIELD – Angie Fenstermacher struck out five batters, had two of Dirigo’s five hits and knocked in three runs to lead Dirigo to a 14-2 win in five innings against Livermore Falls Tuesday afternoon.

Dirigo scored 10 of their 14 runs in the first inning.

Ashley Stones and Jessica Blaisdell each had a hit for the Cougars (5-2) and two RBIs, while Monique Crawford chipped in with a single and an RBI.

The Cougars took advantage of six walks and five hit-batsmen.

Sara Hughes had two of

the three hits by the Andies

(2-5), while pitcher Danielle Gray struck out eight in

the losing cause.

Georges Valley 9,

Mt. Abram 5

TOPSHAM – Rachel Campbell and Rachel Strong each homered for Georges Valley as the Bucs defeated Mt. Abram 9-5 in high school softball action Tuesday.

Georges Valley broke open a close game with four runs in the fifth on just one hit.

Lanie Roy homered for Mt. Abram.

Megan Watts collected the win on the mound for Georges Valley.
