RUMFORD – An investigation continues into an unusual littering complaint filed Sunday morning.

Officer Eric Goodrow’s report stated someone dumped several televisions and microwave ovens in a yard at Swift River Park off Route 120.

“It looks like a sand pit, but it’s not. It’s a yard,” said officer Michael Halacy.

Police believe the items were dumped between Friday and Sunday.

Police are also investigating the reported theft of an estimated $60 worth of wooden spindles, said to have been kicked out of a porch rail Sunday night at a Knox Street residence.
