Hixon has taught physical education for 20 years and has numerous achievement in coaching area youth. Cormier has a BS degree in sports management, and has been involved with camps throughout New England, bringing experience to the program at St. Dom’s.

Both have worked together for the past four years at summer camps at Central Maine Technical College.

“We are very pleased to have these two wonderful people to be a part of our team,” said Welch. “They have so much to offer to kids. Their main concern is the safety of the kids, as well as their enjoyment of going to summer camp.”

The St. Dom’s Summer Camp program will run for six weeks beginning on June 23. Hours will be from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. with the option of an extended hours program, where kids can stay until 5 p.m.

Campers can choose from a variety of sports camps, including soccer, basketball, softball, lacross, and field hockey, but the favorite attraction will be the Extreme and Super Extreme Camp. Kid’s will go to local area beaches, play games on campus and take trips to amusement parks such as Funtown and Aquaboggin.
