FOXBORO, Mass. (AP) – The New England Patriots signed veteran free agent safety Aric Morris and rookie free agent Scott Farley of Williams College.
Morris, 25, finished second for Tennessee last year with 18 special teams tackles.
Morris was drafted by Tennessee in the fifth round of the 2000 draft from Michigan State, played in 47 of 48 games, including 10 starts.
As a senior at Williams, Farley played receiver on offense, safety on defense, kicker, punter, and kick and punt returner. He led the team in scoring with 53 points in 2001 and 48 points last season. He led the team last season with four interceptions and finished fourth on the team with 35 tackles. He was named a Division 3 All-American.
Contract terms were not disclosed.
