Professional Consultants of Maine has changed its name to the Maine Association of Professional Consultants.
The change is intended to clarify that the 20-year-old group is not a consulting firm. It is an association with more than 60 members dedicated to member services, information sharing and advancing the consulting profession.
The association offers personal and Web-based referral services for businesses, agencies, nonprofits or individuals that need:
• Access to professionals with diversified skills.
• Expertise and experience gained through dealing with a variety of challenges.
• A cost-effective alternative to hiring full-time staff.
For more information, people can call 1-800-464-5043 or visit www.consultmaine.com.
Anyone interested in joining the association is welcome to attend its monthly breakfast meetings at 7:30 a.m. on the third Friday of every month at the Portland Country Club in Falmouth.
