KENNEBUNKPORT – Claire Robichaud of Lewiston and Caryn Harris of Bowdoin have been honored by the Pastel Painters of Maine as two of 60 artists to be accepted into its fourth annual juried show, “For Pastels Only.”
Robichaud’s work, “Sunset in Stonington,” will be on display along with pastel paintings by artists from across the United States. She also works with oils, watercolor and clay. She has won awards for her creations and has been an art instructor at the Lewiston Adult Education Department.
Harris’ work, “Winter Shadows,” will also be on display.
The venue for the Pastel Painters of Maine show is River Tree Center for the Arts, 35 Western Ave., Kennebunkport. The exhibit will run from May 16 to June 27, with subjects including landscapes, still lifes, portraits and abstract compositions. The gallery is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
There will be an opening reception from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 16, at River Tree Center. The public is invited.
