1917 – 2003
LEWISTON – Mirelle B. Punteri, 86, formerly of 20 Great Falls Plaza, Auburn, died Monday, May 12, at d’Youville Pavilion following a long illness.
She was born in Lewiston on March 14, 1917, the daughter of Emile and Claudia (Malenfant) Boisvert. She graduated from Lewiston High School in the class of 1935 and worked at the Bates Mill Hill Division for 37 years until it closed in 1971.
She was a volunteer at St. Mary’s Hospital for 17 years and was a member of St. Patrick’s Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Janis Batron; two grandchildren, Ken and his wife Jennifer Batron and their three children, Robert, Katherine and Rebecca all of Exeter, and Kellie and her husband Roland and their three children, Ashley, Haley and Nicholas all of Lisbon.
She was predeceased by her husband, Nicholas J. Punteri whom she married on Sept. 26, 1947 and who died on Feb. 23, 1976; her son, Robert and his wife and their two sons in 1972.
