WEST PARIS – The Finnish American Heritage Society will meet at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 18, at the Heritage Center, Maple Street. The meeting will cover summer events and sign-ups for open house hosting. Videos of four-season scenes in Finland will be shown. The museum, gift shop and library will be open. There will be coffee and a social time. Visitors welcome.

Cemetery group

HEBRON – The annual meeting of the Hebron Cemetery Association will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 18, at the First Baptist Community Church. Election of officers and trustees will be held along with other business that may come before the group.

Guest speaker

WEST PARIS – Joe Perham will be the guest speaker at the 9 a.m. worship service Sunday, May 18, at the First Universalist Church. The Rev. Joy Gasta is pastor.

Celebration

WEST PARIS – The West Paris Old Home Days has announced that plans and projects for the June 6, 7 and 8 event are being finalized. Martha Robert said there will be certificates and gifts awarded to beano winners. She can be reached at 674-5878. Dennis Henderson, Kevin Roberts and Ted Jones are building a dunk tank for the celebration. Rodney Richard Sr. of Rangeley will carve a bear and donate it as a raffle item. Yard sale

PARIS – There will be a yard and bake sale from 9 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, May 24, at the Norway Unitarian-Universalist Church on Main Street, sponsored by TOPS ME 87. Proceeds will benefit Take Off Pounds Sensibly and its programs.
