1915 – 2003

LEWISTON – Leah B. Daniels, 88, of South Paris died Monday, May 12, at Marshwood Nursing Home.

She was born in Casco on May 2, 1915, the daughter of William K. and Helen Wilson Bartlett. She graduated from Norway High School. She married Andre “Bud” Aubin in 1949. He died in 1971.

She and her husband ran a boat and airplane business on Moosehead Lake in Greenville for many years. She was a member of the First Universalist Church in Norway. She enjoyed dancing, boating, fishing and flying with her husband in their airplane. She also enjoyed entertaining family and friends at her home.

She is survived by a sister, Wilma Rich Goss of Norway; a special niece, Jana Lee Rich of Greenbrae, Calif.; several other nieces and nephews; two stepdaughters, Anna Mercereau of Torrance, Calif., and Pauline Stone of Orange, Fla.; a stepson, Thomas Aubin of Bangs, Texas; 13 stepgrandchildren; and 16 stepgreat-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a sister, Rita Lambert; four brothers, Kenneth Bartlett, Arthur Bartlett, Jack Bartlett and Fred Bartlett; a stepdaughter, Charlotte Rancourt; two stepsons, Roland Aubin and Andre Aubin Jr.; and a stepgrandson, Major Jay Aubin.
