OXFORD – The Oxford County Retired Teachers Association will meet at 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 16, at the Oxford Legion Hall. There will be a plant sale after members bring in house and garden seedlings or plants to help raise scholarship money.

Three high school seniors from three different schools will be awarded $300 college scholarships with those funds.

President Marilyn Leighton will be leading the meeting, which will include installation of new officers with President-elect Jean Boyd and her officers being introduced.

Marjorie Kimball and Jeannie Horton will lead the annual memorial ceremony honoring retired teachers who died within the last year. There will be a dinner at noon, followed by a musical program.

New members are always welcome, but reservations are obtained by calling M. Leighton at 743-7677 by May 14.
