AUGUSTA – The Maine State Legislature recently recognized Eloise O’Neill of Lewiston on her retirement as executive director of SeniorsPlus.
O’Neill was presented with a Legislative Sentiment recognizing the importance of the role she played in the development of services for seniors. She was with the agency for 25 years, 21 of which were as executive director.
The Legislative Sentiment was sponsored by Rep. Elaine Makas, (D-Lewiston) and co-sponsored by the other members of the Androscoggin County Legislative Delegation.
Presenting O’Neill with the sentiment were Rep. Michael Vaughn, (R-Durham); Rep. Margaret Craven, (D-Lewiston); Rep. Deborah Simpson; (D-Auburn); Ms. O’Neill, Rep. Makas, Rep. Lillian LaFontaine O’Brien; (D-Lewiston); and, Rep. William Walcott, (D-Lewiston).
