LEWISTON – Students in Bates College’s Lewiston-Auburn history class will present their projects to the public Wednesday night.
For the last few months, students in Writing the History of Lewiston and Auburn have been researching the area’s history. The plan is to write the Twin Cities’ unwritten history.
The students will present their findings at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the Lewiston Public Library. Student presentations will cover a variety of topics, including the history of the Lewiston Police Department, Bates Mill workers in the 19th century and a Yankee woman’s diary from the 1860s.
The event is free and open to the public.
