NORWAY – Elizabeth (Betty) A. Scott, 72, died on May 20, in Norway.
Born in Norway, Jan. 18, 1931, she was a life-long resident of the Norway area, attended school here and was retired from C.B. Cummings.
“Betty” was married to Winifred (Red) Scott from 1977 until his passing in 1995. In the later years of her life she wintered in Okeechobee, Fla., and loved to travel. She will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
Survivors include a son, Donald Tolan of Clearwater, Fla.; a daughter, Penny Rineer of Great Mills, Md.; grandchildren, Christina Good of Great Mills, Md., Lisa Cote of Lisbon Falls and Christopher Tolan of St. Petersburg, Fla.; great-grandchildren, Samantha Lee of Great Mills, Md., and Heather and Paige Leonas of Lisbon Falls; three brothers, Robert McAlister of West Paris, Guy McAlister Jr. of South Paris and Richard McAlister of Norway; two sisters, Irene Parenteau of West Warwick, R.I., and Dorothy Packard of Norway; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins and a large number of very good friends.
