LIVERMORE FALLS – Selectmen will consider two items concerning the Fire Department when they meet at 6 p.m. Monday at the municipal building.

They will appoint the fire chief for a two-year term and discuss a billing policy for auto accidents.

Livermore recently adopted a policy which would allow its Fire Department to be paid for responding to accidents in its town. Other towns have similar policies in effect.

The board will consider a request from the Maine Department of Transportation to tie in sewer services on Route 17 and abandon the old line.

They will also discuss the operating budget for the sewer and waste water treatment plant and accept a new flow split percentage with Jay for 2003/04.

Other items on the agenda include catering permits for Murray Hall, a tax abatement and a quitclaim deed for foreclosed property, which has been repurchased.
