WINTHROP – Winthrop Grange 209 will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 3, for a potluck supper at the Grange Hall, Old Lewiston Road.

Election of officers will take place at the 7:30 p.m. business meeting. Plans will be completed for hosting the Kennebec Pomona 4 supper and meeting on Wednesday, June 11.

The June mystery ride has been postponed until a later date.

Remember When

NEW GLOUCESTER – The Remember When Senior Citizens will meet at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 3, at the Amvets Hall. Lunch will be finger rolls, chips and dessert. A raffle will follow the meeting. Carl Barker will discuss Parkinson’s disease and play his harmonica.

The club met on May 20 for a fried chicken lunch. Door prizes were won by Bob Ryerson and Midge Demers.

Pomona memorial

AUBURN – Androscoggin Pomona will meet at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 4, at Danville Junction Grange for election of officers and the annual memorial service. State Grange Chaplain Clay Collins will be the speaker. Supper will be served at 6:30 by the host grange.

LEEDS – The Kennebec Land Trust will hold a geology field outing from 9 a.m to noon Saturday, June 7, at the Curtis Homestead Conservation Area. Maine Geologist Bob Marvinney will lead the trip. Those attending should meet at the Curtis parking lot, Bog Road. Call the trust office at 377-2848 to register.

Parenting program

BRUNSWICK – A parenting education program, “Caught in the Middle,” will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, June 7, at the Brunswick High School library.

The four-hour parenting education program is for separating or divorcing parents. The workshop will examine behavior at specific ages, the impact of divorce on behavior and management strategies to effect positive change. Anger, guilt, stress and the inconsistencies of two homes are addressed.

Participants will receive a manual, which covers workshop topics and includes a resource guide. The fee is $25. For more information or to register, call 751-4366.

The Home to Home program provides a safe place for separated or divorced parents of midcoast Maine to exchange their children for visitation. The exchanges are monitored by trained volunteers. For more information or to become a volunteer, call 837-4894.

Rotary raffle

LISBON FALLS – The Lisbon Rotary Club held a lobster raffle with the following winners drawn by Assistant Code Enforcement Officer Mike Cote on May 17:

First, 10 lobsters, Cheryl Lillard of Lewiston; five lobsters, Susan Townsen of Lewiston; three lobsters, Phyllis Poulin of Lisbon. Rotarian Sandy Harkins sold the most tickets and received two lobsters.
