1952 – 2003

Greene – Gary “Buster” Ronald Smith, 50, of the Sawyer Road, passed away Friday, May 30, at his home.

He was born on July 7, 1952, in Lewiston, the son of William and Loretta Brule Smith, and attended Sabattus Schools.

He enjoyed his work, smelt fishing, outdoor activities, playing pool and hanging out his family and friends.

He proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam era.

He worked in drywall services for many years. He was later self-employed in drywall services.

He is survived by his mother, Loretta Smith, of Greene; one son, Eric Smith of Greene; one sister, Rebecca Papsis of Lewiston; a brother, Mike Smith and his wife Dot of Greene; a brother, Larry Smith and his wife Connie of New Hampshire; a sister, Shelia Clifford and her husband Leland of Sabattus; two grandchildren, Victoria Papsis and Baylee Lane; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was predeceased by his father, William Smith; a brother, Robert Smith; and a nephew, Brian Clifford.
