Windsor – Many area businesses will take part in the upcoming Maine Fiber Frolic, a celebration of fiber animals and the fiber arts. The event is set for 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, June 14 and 15, at the Windsor Fairgrounds.
The Fiber Frolic will offer numerous demonstrations, lectures and workshops for all ages. The full circle of fiber production from raising farm animals to shearing, to spinning/felting and then to crafting the final products will be presented. Admission is $2 per person or $5 per family; free for seniors and children under 12.
Among the participating farms are Sunshine Daydream Farm of Brownfield; Nancy Turner of Hebron; Crazy Critters Creations of Jay; Miller Farm of Lisbon Falls; Miller Farm of Livermore; Friends Folly Farm of Monmouth; Acker’s Acres Angoras of New Gloucester; Oasis Farm of Otisfield; Stoneheart Farm of South Paris; Fibah for Ewe of Sabattus; Mountain Brook Farm of South Paris; Nezinscot Farm of Turner; and Saddlebrook Farm of Waterford.
