NORWAY – Norway Downtown Revitalization will host an open house from 5 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, June 10, in the Fare Share Commons on Main Street to introduce a group of downtown revitalization experts who are helping to assess Norway’s efforts. They include Bob Donohue, principal planner with Oakland County Michigan Planning and Economic Development Services; Mike Provost, executive director of Jaffrey, N.H.,’s award-winning Main Street program; Craig Freshley, independent downtown revitalization consultant from Brunswick; and Andrea Strassner and Dennis Lachman of Barba Architecture and Consulting in Portland.

Local residents and business owners are invited to bring questions, comments and suggestions to the open house. Refreshments will be served. For more information, call Norway Downtown Revitalization at 739-2215.

Public forum

NORWAY – A public interest forum will take place at 7 p.m. Thursday, June 12, at the Norway Memorial Library on Main Street. A team discussion will be on “Stupid White Man: a Look at the Book and its Subject – Ourselves.” Ken Carstens will be facilitator and Gary Hicks will be respondent. Bridge results

NORWAY – Oxford Hills Duplicate Bridge played a Howell movement on June 6 with five and one half tables. First place was won by Grace and Luke Merry. Second were Georgette Jewell and Pat Quinn. Pete Cummings and Paul Barber captured third and Don Hitch and Nancy Farmer were fourth.

Newcomers are welcome. The group plays at 9 a.m. every Friday at Fare Share Commons on Main Street. There is municipal parking behind the building. No partner is necessary. For more information call Rowena Palmer at 743-2882.
