AUBURN – Student members of the Edward Little High School Playhouse will perform a one-act play, “The Great Pandemonium” by Pat Cook, at 7 p.m. Thursday, June 12, at Auburn Middle School.

This is the only local performance scheduled. Free and open to the public, the play runs about 40 minutes. Donations will be accepted.

Originally performed at the Maine Regional Drama Festival in Bath in March, the play is a light comedy featuring nine student performers. In an ironic twist, the Edward Little drama students portray drama students rehearsing a Shakespeare play under the direction of a drama coach with rather unconventional methods.

“The Great Pandemonium is about a tech rehearsal gone awry,” said director Debora Bishop.

Adam Gould is the student director. The cast is led by Lucas Rau, who received top honors at the Regional Festival for his performance.

Other cast members are Peter Westcott, Strawberry Pinkham, Chris Judd, Vanessa Charest, Carrie Smith, Colby Souders, Michelle Brodeur and Jillian Byard. Production staff includes Jeff Labrack, Wiebke Foerstmann, Michael Goodwin, and Alex Judd.
