Minor division: Roux Insurance downed Lighting Concepts, 11-5. Nathan Berube belted a triple and double, knocking in four runs. Ryan Pare poked a pair of hits. Luke Cote had a hit in the losing cause. Roux also routed Wal-Mart 12-2, with Berube gaining the win on the hill. Pare had three hits and Kyle Gosselin gathered two. Roux turned a triple play in the third inning.

D.A. Poussard posted three recent wins. Poussard blanked Lighting Concepts 3-0 behind Coby Poussard’s fine mound effort. Rudy Pandora lashed out two hits and Robert Krasny drove in a pair of runs for Poussard. Lighting’s Bruce Soper and Zach McCarthy each delivered a base knock. Rian Nilsson hurled Poussard to a 6-1 win over Wal-Mart. David Lewandowski and Josh Perry each collected two hits, while Coby Poussard clobbered a double. In a 4-3 triumph over Caron Construction, Coby Poussard went 2-for-2 and Jeremy Kearns added two RBIs. David Cusson, John Charest and Colt Steele all had two hits for Caron.

Jacob Lajoie cracked a home run as Wendy’s overcame Caron Construction 5-4. Matt Poto hustled his way out of a rundown to score the winning run, giving Shawn Handler the victory. Poto, Lajoie and Spencer Simoneau were all repeat hitters. Josh Bussiere was 3-for-3 for Caron, while Colt Steele and David Cusson each delivered a double. In other action, Wendy’s tripped Lighting Concepts 8-3. Poto and Handler combined for 12 strikeouts. Lajoie belted a grand slam for the biggest of his team’s 12 hits. Brandon Smith’s single to right field started an eight-run rally in the third inning. Luke Cote had a double for Lighting, which chalked up seven hits. Wendy’s also played Roux Insurance played to a 1-1 tie.

Senior division: Joe Bonneau pitched a complete game with six strikeouts as Roux Insurance toppled Rainbow Bicycle 8-2. Billy Colasante had two hits for Roux, while Dave Roux and Cameron Laney each drove in two runs. Nathan Parker’s three hits led Rainbow.

Major division: Cameron Bussiere scored two runs in Dube Flower’s 5-4 win over Reed Distributors. Josh Leino amassed eight strikeouts and benefited from solid defense behind him. Frank Welch threw out two would-be base stealers. For Reed, Alex Brochu hit a triple and single, scoring two runs. Tony Saucier doubled and crossed the plate twice … Cross Insurance cruised to a 17-2 victory over Dube. Cody Lessard yielded two hits and struck out five over five innings. Lessard, Ryan Lemelin and David Ouellette had multi-hit games for Cross. Scott Wilson and Tyler Gonzales each stroked a key double. Welch was Dube’s top hitter.

South Lewiston

Minor division: Jacob Binette pitched a shutout to power Patti Gagne Allstate past Hannaford, 7-0. Sicotte struck out the side in the third inning and worked out of a bases-loaded jam in the third. Willie Tyner went 3-for-3 with a double. Sicotte ripped a double to help his cause. Dillon Larrabee, Joe Trytek and Steve Bandura also joined the hit parade.

Softball

Auburn Suburban

Major division: Gee and Bee tripped up Rotary, 16-6. Jordan Blackman went 2-for-3 with a single, double and RBI. Jena Dubois added a key RBI single. Jenn Fecteau was a defensive standout. Miranda Martin and Sam Landry led the hitting for Rotary.

Minor division: A.E.A. Aces downed Hannaford of Lewiston P.A.L., 15-4. Amanda Turcotte struck out 11 and made some great defensive plays. Victoria Bunker and Crissy Lewis were top hitters for the Aces. Paige Clabby and Mackenzie Roy got the job done at the plate for Hannaford.
